About
Positive and dilligent graduate with first class honours in Textile Design, with an investigational and experimental approach. Playful collages of my own imagery, mark making and pattern inspire key elements of form, structure, and surface. A variety of non-traditional materials are manipulated through a combination of hand and digital techniques.

Exhibitor at New Designers, London. June 2015 Exhibiting my final year project, interacting with members of the public and industry first hand.Working in shifts to man the stall and talk about mine and others’ work.
Intern at Mary Katrantzou, London. Aug/Sep 2014 Working in a large team in the pressured weeks leading up to London Fashion Week. Carrying out lots of hand embroidery on samples and garments. Meeting deadlines every day for packages to be sent off to
production. Running errands around London. Handling and taking care of luxurious garments.
Intern at Jenny Packham, London. July 2014 Interpreting design instructions innovatively. Being on hand to carry out tasks when needed. Researching future trends and patterns for bridal and evening wear. Developing beading ideas to be displayed on mood boards for bridal and evening wear. Tracing garment patterns and embroidery placements for production.
Volunteer at Oxfam Online Hub, Batley. June 2014 Repairing and up-cycling garments, writing out promotional descriptions for garments to maximise sales online.
Skills
• Extensive practice of hand embroidery and fabric manipulation.
• Gained valuable experience on the laser- cutter, domestic sewing machines, Irish, Baruden and embellisher.
• Research skills have been highlighted as a strength in my degree studies, enabling me to create strong concepts and be aware of future trends.
• Developing skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and Microsoft Office programs.
• Elected course rep. at University due to friendly and approachable manner.
• Successfully managing and multitasking the many modules at university.
• Flexible - adapting quickly in new environments.
